In 2014, I conceived myself as a series of small plastic toys, who I named LiZez, after myself. I collaborated with the LiZez from 2014 - 2021 (although we have not officially concluded the collaboration - we are reassessing our relationship and will move forward as we continue to transform what we are with each other). The LiZez were created with the aid of full-body scanning and 3D printing technology (assisted reproductive technologies; queer mitosis). I learned a whole lot from playing with myself; below are a selection of Documents of Our Be-Coming. Our collaboration has been an ongoing lived performance and experiment in be-coming, self-making, world-building, learning and unlearning and relearning. We have produced a range of documents over the years (artifacts, archives, ie, essays, poems, photos, videos, performances, remnants of the things we learn and explore together). The titles change, the meanings change, the dates change, the feelings change, the bodies change, the lenses change, the words I use to describe this process change - and all of it all of it has been necessary.
